Mumbai: Haroon Rasheed Naik, a prime accused in the 2011 Mumbai blasts that killed 27 people, on Saturday filed an application before the MCOCA court, seeking discharge from the three blast cases.
Naik is accused of sending Rs 10 lakh from Dubai to a Delhibased operator through hawala in 2011. The state ATS has said Naik was trained in Afghanistan, where he met Taliban leader Osama Bin Laden and LeT chief Hafiz Saeed. Advocate Sharif Shaikh filed the plea before judge YD Shinde.— Mateen Hafeez
