96-yr-old found killed


Mumbai: 

A 96-year-old man was found dead at his chawl room in Nagpada on Saturday . The body was found with hands and legs tied up. The suspects used a handkerchief to suffocate Abdul Hameed Ansari, who stayed alone in his room in Yaqoob Manzil, Madanpura, said police.
N K Mehtar, senior inspector of Nagpada police, said the body was discov ered by Ansari's grandson, Wahid, around 8.30am when he came to deliver breakfast to the deceased.

“Ansari was fond of fancy mobile phones. The phones, which were not very costly , are missing. The accused apparently tried to unlock a cupboard, but could not succeed. The cupboard contained Rs 6.52 lakh, which was untouched,“ said Mehtar.
