Red corner notices for 6 accused soon

Mumbai: The anti-terrorism squad (ATS) is in the process of the issuing red corner notices (RCN) against the six accused in the last year’s blast at German Bakery in Pune. Seventeen people, including five foreigners, had died in the February 13 explosion.

On September 7 last year, the investigators had claimed to have cracked the case with the arrest of a suspected Indian Mujahideen (IM) operative, Mirza Himayat Baig. The ATS had further said that the plot was hatched by Pakistan’s banned outfit Lashkare-Taiba and executed by IM.

“Six persons—Fayyaz Kagzi, Zabihuddin Ansari alias Zaby, Mohsin Chaudhry, Yaseen Bhatkal, Iqbal Bhatkal and Riyaz Bhatkal—are wanted in the case. The court will soon declare the wanted accused as absconders and RCNs will be issued,” ATS chief Rakesh Maria said.
