‘3 passengers shared cab accused took to reach city’

Mumbai: Investigations into the arrest of terror accused, Qateel Siddiqui, revealed that he had shared a cab with three other persons while travelling from Pune to Mumbai with an explosive. The bomb planter came to Mumbai and disposed of the bomb into the sea off Worliin February 2010.

Dagduseth Halwai temple on February 13, 2010. However, a flower vendor did not allowhim to keep his bag containing the bomb,” said anti-terrorism squadchief RakeshMaria. 

    “This forced Siddiqui to leave the area. He later went to an isolated spot and removed the bomb’s detonators and took a share cab to reach Mumbai,” he added. There were three other unsuspecting passengers in the cab in which Siddiqui was travelling,the policesaid. “During the journey, Siddiqui kept thebagcontaining thebombon hislap,” a policeofficer said.
