Mumbai: A probe into the death of constable Deepak Vitkare revealed that it could be a case of suicide, the police said, adding that he was frustrated as he stayed alone in the city. Vitkare posted at the American Consulate died on Monday morning after two bullets from his service carbine pierced through his skull. “His relatives claimed his body on Monday. They are shattered and we are yet to record their statements. So far, it has transpired that he was emotionally disturbed,” said the police said. A police team has been sent to Vitkare’s hometown Solapur to make inquiries with his family.The Times of India, March 9, 2011
