MUMBAI: A BKC diamond market trader panicked after he received a call from a person claiming to be an Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) inspector on Thursday evening. The imposter, who has been arrested, told the trader, whose turnover is said to be over Rs 200 crore, that his name cropped up while he was probing a drug case and told him to meet him in Pune.
"He received a call from a mobile number and the caller identified himself as 'inspector Pawar' of ANC. He told the trader that he had caught a person, Faizee, who had named him. He told the trader to meet him at ANC's Kandivli office.
